ABOUT ME
Welcome to my website, my name is Veshali Patel and I am the owner of Pinnacle Advisory Services. I am an ACCA qualified accountant and became FCCA in 2007.
Since leaving college all I’ve ever wanted to do is work with numbers. My love of numbers came at an early age and I have an Accounting GCSE, A Level and BA Hons in Accounting Studies.
After uni, I went onto working as a trainee accountant for a 2 partner firm. I enjoyed the exposure to the ‘real’ accounting world and learnt so much from the role. I worked and qualified in ‘practice’ working with various industries.
I met my husband who is also an ACCA accountant and in 2006 after the birth of our son we moved to Cyprus. We lived there for 5 years, and I worked for KPMG as a senior auditor. During this time my daughter was born. Following this I worked for a corporate services company as an accountant. This experience gave me a variety of knowledge and understanding of Cypriot and overseas clients.
We returned to the UK and together my husband and I set up Pinnacle Advisory Services Ltd in 2012 giving us flexibility around our family life. Our children are now all grown up so not as reliant on me anymore. I now have the chance to really grow the business although my husband is no longer working in the business, he’s still around to be my sounding board when it’s needed!
I can do everything from bookkeeping to final accounts and tax, providing a complete end to end service. Over the years I’ve worked with various industries, magazine publishing, beauty salons, members clubs, modelling agencies, leadership coaches, events companies, investment businesses, various consultancy businesses, marketing, builders, electricians and the property industry.
I have a wealth of all round accounting and finance knowledge and experience but I am now moving on to specialising in working with established services based limited companies who are looking to invest in their growth.
As my own business grows I am looking to outsource junior tasks and admin so I can concentrate on helping others to grow their businesses. It’s my mission to help clients to achieve their goals and aspirations, enabling them to have more time and money to do the things they love. I love systemising processes with tech, more so than ever now that technology is changing rapidly in the accounting world.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, travelling, sporting activities such as running, Pilates, HIIT and weight training. When I get a chance I love reading fiction books, novels and self-help books, having recently found an interest in mindset and neuroplasticity in particular. I love listening to podcasts about lifestyle, health and self help as I believe there’s always room for improvement.
